The abductors of the nursing mother, Kehinde Ikeanabi Jubril, who was abducted at her residence in Ago-Oja town, Asa Local Government Area of Kwara state, have failed to show up for the ransom, agreed upon, with her family, after reaching out to them.
Mrs Ajibade was abducted in her residence, by the unknown kidnapper, about two days before the last Eid-l-fitri celebration, alongside one student of Kwara State Polytechnic, Kehinde Oriyomi, who eventually died in the hospital, as a result of his ordeal with the kidnappers, even after collecting a ransom of N400,000 for his release.
According to the community leader in Ago-Oja, Baale Dauda Salaudeen Arolu, the kidnapper, who made an initial demand of N10m from the family of the abducted woman, later succumbed to N1.5m, when it was obvious, her family could not raise beyond that.
The community leader, who revealed that the kidnappers contacted the family, through the abductee’s phone, on Friday, said they were nowhere to be found at the meeting point, in Eyenkorin after arranging for the N1.5m, agreed upon.
Meanwhile, he stated that another message was sent to the family, on Friday, notifying them of a change of location to Ogbomoso town, but the family could not still find them there.
However, it was revealed that the community leaders have applied traditional means, in their frantic efforts, to secure her release.
