Harry Kane has been the subject of a possible transfer away from Tottenham with Manchester United and Bayern Munich identified as possible destination for the England captain.
The question if Harry Kane would leave Tottenham for either Manchester United or Bayern Munich keeps bogging fans but Tottenham’s former goalkeeper, Paul Robinson, provided a clue to the conundrum by suggesting that Kane may likely not move to either clubs unless both European giants make him an offer he can not refuse.
Kane scored his 266th goal in his last game against Fulham and Tottenham crowned him a joint all-time top goalscorer alongside Jimmy Greaves.
The 29 years old Kane, who has been one of the best strikers in world football over the last decade, has been linked with a summer move to Man United and Bayern Munich.
Records have it that Kane has scored about 188 goals in the premier league.
A former professional footballer, manager, commentator and sports television pundit for Sky Sports, Paul Merson, had suggested to Manchester United that if they would want to start bagging winnings, they should spend £100 million to acquire the services of Kane.
“He’s the best centre-forward in the world. If I’m Manchester United, I’m spending £100m on Kane tomorrow. They just paid £80m for Antony and he won’t score as many goals in 10 years as Kane would score in a season for Man Utd.
“If Man Utd want to be anywhere near winning a title, they need a Kane. Seeing them against Arsenal, they’re a long way off still,” Merson added.
With barely 18 months left on his contract with Tottenham, some believe that he might abandon the club at the end of the season.
