Two suspected motorcycle thieves have been reportedly set ablaze by angry mob around Popo bridge, Oke Ado area of Ibadan, Oyo State on Tuesday.
According to Tribune, some eyewitnesses who were at the scene of the incident revealed that the suspects were nabbed after snatching motorcycle from the owner in the area.
“We heard the voice of someone seeking help and we rushed out and saw him bleeding from the side of his neck. We could hear him aloud saying he is under attack, help me pls,” an eyewitness disclosed.
It was learnt that another eyewitness, who wants to remain anonymous said that “The man told us they forcefully took his bike and snapped his neck with cutlass. The man said they already took the bike from me but they didn’t stop at that. They also wanted to take my phone which made me stand the ground and hold one of them right and call on people to come to my rescue.
“We immediately arranged for him to be taken to the hospital while we screamed for help from people in the neighborhood “.
“We chased them, they ran inside the bridge and we apprehended the two of them in the long run”.
