The operatives of the Adamawa State Command have nabbed a 30-year-old man,Musa Inusa, for allegedly raping a five-year-old girl.
This was made known in a statement on Tuesday by the spokesperson for the command, SP Suleiman Nguroje.
The suspect was arrested upon a complaint on Sunday, November 19, from Adamu Ahmed, a resident of Dikon Nasarawo in Mayo Belwa Local Government Area, who accused him of raping his daughter.
The statement read in part, “The Commissioner of Police, Afolabi Babatola, viewed the report seriously; hence, he deployed officers of the command attached to Mayo-Belwa to investigate the allegation and effect arrest.”
Nguroje stated further, “Detectives swung into action and eventually arrested one suspect, Musa Inusa, 30, a close family member, in connection with the crime.”
He noted that investigations revealed that the suspect is a known thief who steals domestic animals in the Nasawo Dikon community.
He added that the suspect will be prosecuted according to his crime.
