The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, Enugu State Command, has called on the residents to provide actionable intelligence in 2024 in order to rid the state of crime.
The State Commandant, NSCDC, Mr Muhammed Dada, made this call during a chat with journalists in Enugu on Saturday on collaborative ways to stem crime in 2024.
Dada pointed out that the journey ahead required collective action and a shared commitment to safety.
He said, “I appeal to each resident of our dear state to provide actionable intelligence – your eyes and ears on the ground – are invaluable in our efforts to maintain peace and security.
“As we bid farewell to the challenges of 2023 and stand on the platform of a brand-new year, I find great pride in celebrating the unity that binds us as a community.”
He noted that the residents’ unwavering support for security agencies had been a beacon of strength, urging residents to stand by security agencies in the coming year.
The NSCDC Commandant enjoined the people cooperate and support both the Federal and state governments, adding that working hand in hand would enable a strong foundation for a prosperous New Year.
“Your backing empowers us to respond effectively to challenges, fostering an environment where progress and safety go hand in hand,” he said.
