An Ibadan-based radio and television host, Oriyomi Hamzat, has been arrested by the police.

Men of the Nigeria Police Force arrested Hamzat on Thursday morning in Ibadan, which is the capital of Oyo State.

In a press statement signed by the Head of Station, Agidigbo FM, Adebayo Yousuph, it was revealed that the owner of station has been taken to Abuja for interrogation.

The reason for his arrest has not been disclosed

However, it was gathered that his arrest may not be unconnected with his role in the ongoing case of the murder of Timothy Adegoke.

Hamzat had been campaigning for justice in the killing of Adegoke, a Master’s student at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife.
